Kids Summer Camps

No experience is required to attend these camps! These camps are divided into two ages groups, kids ages 4-6 and 7-10, who'd like to try out the circus life for a week, would like to try aerial, or want to develop performance skills. Students will need to bring a lunch (full-day kids only), snack, and water for the day. Please notify Lucia administration about any food-related allergies.

Full-Day Kids Circus Camp

AGES: 7-10
WEEK 1: June 4 - 8
M-F 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Students will get to try a variety of circus disciplines including:

  • tumbling
  • aerial silks
  • partner acrobatics
  • trapeze
  • juggling
  • physical theater

Each day will begin with a game-based, group warm up to energize kids' bodies for the day's activity. rotate through practicing aerial dance, juggling, tumbling, and partner acrobatics. At the end of the day, students will regroup to practice stage performance and character presentation to use in our culminating show on Friday. During the last half-hour of the last day of camp, students will perform a brief demonstration of their learning from the week.

Half-Day Kids Circus Camp

AGES: 4-6
WEEK 2: June 11-15
M-F 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Students will get to learn aerial hammock, trapeze, and basic juggling skills as we develop balance and spatial-awareness skills through engaging activities.

Each day will begin with a dance-based warm up to get blood and creativity flowing. Then we'll move on to learning fundamental skills on aerial hammock (sling) before taking a break to work on our juggling skills. Then we'll finish the day on the iconic trapeze.

M-F 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
